Located in a peaceful rural situation in a backwater of Hurst Village there are quiet country lanes suitable for walking and jogging and the Green Man pub is a pleasant 15-minute walk.
There are several local leisure amenities such as Billingbear Golf Course and Dinton Pastures (boating, fishing and much more). The towns of Twyford and Wokingham, both just a 10-minute drive away, offer good restaurants and pubs and a choice of all the main Supermarkets.

Billingbear Park Golf Course is an 18 hole pay and play golf course split into a 9 hole Old Course and a 9 hole Par 3 Course.
There are a range of competitive green fees for the two courses, depending on timing and age. You can also enjoy a fantastic all day breakfast, lunch or drink in the clubhouse whilst enjoying the views.

California Country Park
California Country Park covers 40 hectares and is set within 100 acres of ancient bogland and lowland heath. It offers scenic walks, wildlife watching, fishing, a cafe, children's play area, paddling pool (summer only) and more. The park is open daily throughout the year.
The Woodland Walk takes into the 8,000 year old Longmoor Bog on a specially constructed board walk. This is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest, due to it's abundance of rare sedges and mosses.

Dinton Pastures Country Park
Have fun in the Play Park, enjoy the delights of the Dragonfly Café or take a walk around the trails and lakes.
Hire kayaks, canoes, kata-kanus and paddleboards for an entertaining, challenging or relaxing experience. Cycling, fishing, supervised open water swimming sessions and disc golf can also be enjoyed.

The Green Man Pub, Hurst Village
The Green Man is a fine example of a Traditional English Country pub. It was awarded its first license in the 1600's and have been serving thirsty travelling tradesmen and villagers ever since.
The pub offers traditional British fare with a focus on seasonality and there is an extensive beer garden with a play area.
